This scholarship offers a substantial sum of up to £5,000, distributed in parts over the course of study. Successful candidates will receive £3,000 in the first year and £1,000 in subsequent years, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic performance. To continue availing the scholarship, students must maintain a yearly attainment percentage of 60% or above and pass all modules on their first attempt. If a student’s performance falls below 60% in any given year, the scholarship will be temporarily withheld, though it can be reinstated in the following year if their performance recovers to 60% or higher. The scholarship amount of £1,000 will be awarded per year of study, providing a valuable source of support throughout the academic journey.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria. Firstly, they must be self-funded students commencing their studies at the University of Leeds at the undergraduate Level 1. Additionally, they need to be classified as international students for tuition fee purposes.

Consideration for the scholarship also extends to students who have successfully completed the International Foundation Year (IFY) at the University of Leeds and are financing their studies independently.

Furthermore, to qualify, applicants must have received an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree program within the esteemed School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, specifically for the academic year 2023/24.
